Some of the Beaches of Thassos
Hotel Anna Star is located on the beautiful Potos Beach. The beach is organised with sunbeds and umbrellas and less crowded areas of just fine golden sand and clear blue waters.To the right you will Potos and heading left at the far end of the beach you will find San Antonio Beach. This beach is a well known place to enjoy the amazing sunsets created by mother nature. The water is shallow and safe.
Pefkari is about 1 km from Hotel Anna Star and has a wonderful sandy beach with Blue Flag status. A myriad of taverns, restaurants cafeterias line the beach, you will also find a watersports center which offers a wide range of facilities.
Rosogremos is a very beautiful beach to enjoy relaxed swimming and sunbathing. It has shallow and clean waters great for small kids, you can get a drink or snack from either the kiosk or the neighbouring hotel.
Psili Ammos is known as a party beach, for the young and young at heart! Its name translates as 'fine sand', this describes it perfectly, the fine white sands run into safe, clear and shallow blue-green waters.
Astris Beach is relatively undeveloped and a great place for families to relax. You can find a couple of tavernas and bars in the area.
Close to Astris Beach you will find the isolated Salonikios Beach, this beach is off the beaten track and is sometimes called the chill-out beach. It has fine sand and rock pools at its edges, the pine trees come all the way down to the beach.
Giola is a natural pool carved into the rocks by the sea over centuries. It is a truly unique place and it is close to Astris. You may need some directions from a local in order to find it easily!
Just before you reach the Monastery of Archangel Michael you will see a beach called Livadi, which is located in a peaceful bay surrounded by just mountains and nature.
Near to Livadi you can find Thimonia Beach, it is a quiet beach with a mix of sand and pebbles. It is well organized and has green-blue waters.
Aliki Beach is fairly short in length, has amazing crystal-blue waters and golden sands. It is located in a stunning bay with a rich historical heritage. It is a very popular location and has some super bars and seafood restaurants and tavernas. There is another smaller beach behind Aliki where the pace is a little slower. From here you can swim and explore the ancient remains of the area.
Paradise is a famous Thassian beach, some say one of the best in Greece! As the name suggests it is a small paradise nestling inside a rich natural environment. Its shallow crystal clear water and its golden sandy coast will astound you. It is serviced with a couple of taverns, a cafeteria and a canteen. You can enjoy the sun and the sea in an almost tropical surrounding.
Kinira beach is a good choice to combine a nice swim with a delicious fresh fish lunch in one of the nearby taverns next to the beach.
